The role of the Eagle advisor


Troops may create an adult leader position of Eagle advisor, but the role of this position is not recognized or defined by the national scout office.


In Troop 105 (Pembroke), the Eagle advisor's job is to to help Life Scouts get through the paperwork and assist them on their way from Life to Eagle, in much the same way as an Assistant Scoutmaster or Scoutmaster.


The Eagle application and Scout handbook are the main sources for the information about Eagle advancement. An additional tool that an Eagle advisor uses is the Life-to-Eagle PowerPoint presentation, which was developed by OCC Advancement Committee.
