Brad has completed his project at St. Theclas and working on his paperwork. Brad will schedule an open house at some point.
Discussed some potential places to ask about future eagle projects.
BOTTLE BIN
Lisa Z. will continue for now.
Boys should be signing up for 3 weeks each year.
Committee discussed how to address families that may not be participating in the bottle bin fundraising. The troop will not be responsible for contributing money to the scout for events if they are not signing up for the bottle bin. Discussed charging families $93 / week if they do not sign up. This is the average money brought in per week for the bottle bin this past year. That money will go to the troop and none of the money will go into the scout account. Another family will need to complete that week for the family that doesn’t.
POPCORN
Laurie to place order ASAP.
Discussed the troop participating in booth sales and regular sales.
David to coordinate the locations and dates of booth sales.
NEW BUSINESS
The troop would like to update all training records. This will help towards the Centennial Award in October.
Janet will check on the proposed Troop meeting schedule with the North Pembroke Elementary School office. The Grange will be an alternative site, if needed.
Open House @ 7:00 PM. We need greeters; need to set up a sign-up table for scouts and adults; will be showing video clips of past events; and scouts will be demonstrating axe yard and fire building stations during the open house to work on their skills for Weeblos Weekend.
Flyers will be made regarding the Grange Auction on 9/29. Donations of good working items can be made.
Discussed purchasing EZ-Ups for the Troop. Jeff will continue to price in coming weeks.
There is an End of Summer article in the Mariner.
Discussed Officer Morgan possibly running a Drug Awareness Program for the Troop.
Stephanie will create a Group Room on the Clark website for displaying troop pictures. This is available for organizations to put our website on their network and have an approved list of people put photos on this secured site.
MUMS for sale at Ken Breen’s house – 1 for $6; 4 for $20. Unsold plants will be available the day of the auction.
Troop 105 may work at the Grange on 9/19.
Respectfully submitted,
Paul Allen
