The Friends of Scouting Auction is on Sunday 12/2.

Den Chief Training – Seven Rivers on 10/27 – 8:30 AM until 1:00 PM.

Fall Camporee – 10/19 Windblown in New Ipswich, NH

$12 for the weekend / $8 for a night
Sign-ups by 10/15 – Doug needs help at the next meeting

SCOUTMASTER

Josh B. – Troop Rep for Order of the Arrow

E-mails will be sent to leaders that need to update OLS/SM trainings

Friends of Scouting will be at the 3/25/08 Court of Honor

Numerous handouts reviewed, including, Centennial Quality Award, upcoming House of Horrors, Council Auction on 12/2/07, Plymouth Plantation overnights, Mansfield SportsPlex overnight in January.

Discussed the Spring Camporee

Discussed recruitment – the info on the DVD does work, focus on the general population and not just cub scouts moving up.

TREASURER

Ellen presented the budget with more money in the budget as a result of turned in Bottle Bin money.

Discussion regarding how meal purchasing and reimbursements will occur within the troop.

Prior to campouts, a fee will be established to cover meals for each Patrol and that amount will be turned in to Ellen with their registration form.
Patrols will decide on meal items (within their budget – “A scout is thrifty!”)
The Patrol will either have one member purchase all of the food or members can split the responsibilities as we did last year (SAVE YOUR RECEIPTS!!!)
Receipts will be turned in to Ellen and she will reimburse each person(s).
Depending on whether or not the Patrol is under or over budget, it will be reflected in their Scout Account.
Committee will evaluate this after 3 months to see if it is successful.

ADVANCEMENT

QUARTERMASTER

Need to identify a Troop Quartermaster and one from each Patrol. Looking at purchasing 2-3 EZ-UP’s, nested aluminum pots for each patrol. Discussed upgrading the hitch system for the trailer to include stabilization bars. Discussed color coordinating patrol items.

Boys should be signing up for 3 weeks each year.

POPCORN

Booth sale sign-ups are now. Sales will be split between the boys selling. Boys are STRONGLY encouraged to participate in this fundraiser.

NEW BUSINESS

Raffle baskets will be needed for the North Pembroke Elementary Craft Fair. Families will be asked to make donations or contribute a theme basket on their own.

Registration fee will be $50 this year, due by 11/27/07.
