November Camping Sign-up
There will be a sign-up sheet at tonight's meeting (10/24/2006) for the November camping trip (11/17-19/2006 at Camp Sayre, Milton).
We need Leaders and parents to attend. Remember the sign-up deadline is November 1st. If you are not signed-up by then, you will be on a waiting list.
The Troop will be paying for the cabins. Anyone who signs up and does not attend (emergencies not included) will be expected to reimburse the Troop their scout cost.
(Cost is determined by the number of scouts attending.)
Food will be discussed at the November troop meetings. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Zadrozny or Mr. O'Melia.
November Paintball Sign-up
There will be a sign-up sheet at tonight's meeting (10/24/2006) for the Paintball outing. Mrs. Davison needs to know tonight if you would like to use money from your scout account toward the cost. She will not be able to get your money for paintball after this week, so make sure that you talk with her tonight if you need to do so.
Craft Fair Donations Needed
The troop will have a table at the North Pembroke Craft Fair on November 19th. At the table, volunteers will be taking orders for wreaths & poinsettias as well as having a raffle for baskets. Please support the troop by finding any new items for baskets that you would like to donate, such as candles, ornaments, any re-gifted items that would fit in a basket. The troop also need baskets, grass for inside the baskets, ribbon, cellophane. Please bring any items to the next two meetings, so the scouts can work on putting the baskets together. Moms especially please donate your time to help oversee the scouts with the packaging of the baskets. Please let Mrs. Zadrozny know if you can help out in any way.
Scouting For Food
Every year we participate in the Scouting for Food drive with Troop 43. This year, it's Troop 105's turn to be charge of the food drive and Troop 43 will participate.
On Saturday (11/4/2006) at 8 AM in front of the food pantry entrance to the community center, bags and routs will be handed out. Come early if you want to get routes close to you street. Mr. Skolnick will be distributing the bags and routes. Call him with any questions or to help.
NOTE: For Bag distribution, you can pick up your route in the morning and distribute the bags later that day if you have morning commitments.
On the following Saturday (11/11/2006), scouts do bag pick up. (You pick up the same routes to which you distributed bags.) Bring your filled bags to the Food Pantry (between 9AM and noon) to be weighed and sorted.
The troop cannot run this event without your participation. EVERYONE is needed to help out at this event, including parents. Volunteers are desperately needed help at the Food Pantry sorting the food. Mrs. Zadrozny is coordinating weigh-in. Please contact her to volunteer at the pantry!
Note: Scouting for food time counts towards community service hours.
